yeah.. but when I was in the pharmacy, the only two other people there were asking about what to do/buy to protect themselves now that it’s in Japan. The pharmacist kept insisting “it’s not in Japan!”.. “but it’s all over the news!?” the one guy replied. If my five minutes in a pharmacy are like that, I wonder how many people are unnecessarily freaked out…

on a side note, why in the freaking world are there laws to restrict selling drugs to just a short window throughout the day? I woke up in so much pain I couldn’t see straight and had to suffer through it for 9 hrs, waiting for the stupid pharmacy to open (10:30am!?)…
sorry, I’m ranting again… time to watch the rocket video haha

I think SARS changed a lot about the way we react to the threat of pandemic – so many people/organizations took flak for their reaction to SARS that the mantra changed from “it’s probably not that bad” to “it’s the apocalypse, people” just so they would get rewarded for having good PR.
